settings and asking for permission beforehand before starting a recording with a patient, you have to fill in some details these are patient's name (to easily search back this consultation later) then click 'next' gender (when no gender is selected, the summary will be more gender neutral) spoken language in the consultation which template you want to use autoscriber takes care of adding the most commonly used formats if your most used format is not listed, please contact support\@autoscriber whether you wish to add medical coding such as icd 10, snomed ct and soon icpc to the summary you must select the microphone you wish to record with note make sure you test your microphone first via the ‘test microphone' feature if your microphone is working you will now see a green line moving next to the 'test microphone' button finally, check that the patient has verbally agreed to record this conversation in autoscriber start a recording you can now press " start recording" you will see that the conversation is being recorded by moving the sound waves on the page the conversation is now being transcribed, with a slight delay of a few seconds pausing and ending your recording you can press "pause" during the consultation to, for example, not include parts of a conversation in the summary or if there is actually a pause in the consultation when the consultation is finished, you can press "stop recording” the last part of your conversation will then be transcribed and a summary based on your chosen template will automatically follow customising the summary you can create another summary in a different template from the same transcript if necessary in addition, you can modify the summary manually by deleting, adding and rewriting text you can also easily order the rewriting of a summary via the rewrite function consider more or less detail different writing style more extensive analysis etc copying data with a click on the button you can copy any data, in order to paste it quickly and conveniently into an ehr here you can choose ‘summary', ‘summary with transcript (everything)’ or just ‘transcript’ create a patient letter you can start autoscriber and the consultation as you normally would once the recording is complete and the summary has been generated, you will find the additional option 'patient letter' under the 'copy' button ( more information can be found here ) save, open and delete previous recordings on the left side of the application, you will find all past conversations, as well as a search and delete function you can always access old conversations and summaries and even edit them later as long as they are shown on the left side you are also able to delete previous recordings in bulk when deleted, the recording cannot be accessed anymore you also cannot undo the deletion during a recording when using autoscriber in your web browser, make sure to keep the autoscriber tab open during a recording this prevents the screensaver from activating and ensures the recording proceeds without interruptions
